Ribble deals exclusively with sustainable materials, offering 100% recyclable, environmentally sustainable packaging. We didn’t stop there though, we wanted to ensure our business adopted as many sustainable practices as possible.
In March 2023, we completed a new investment project installing a large solar panel system to the roof of our factory in Oldham. The system consists of 1775 individual solar panels generating around 532,770 kWH p.a saving around 250,403 kg of CO2 emissions per year, this project was the latest in a phase of green investments we have undertaken over the last few years, which you can see in more detail here.
In 2021 we installed new LED lighting throughout the factory and offices saving 127,000 kg of CO2 per year. We have also installed electric car charging points for staff and visitors to use.
Thanks to these investments our electricity supply is now fully provided through renewable energy.
